{"id":227,"date":"2026-09-05T17:32:47","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T17:32:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/demo.famethemes.com\/techone\/?p=227"},"modified":"2026-09-30T15:41:42","modified_gmt":"2026-09-30T15:41:42","slug":"north-south-metro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/welshbollocks.com\/?p=227","title":{"rendered":"North\u2013south Metro finally gets into gear"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Welsh Government has announced a major investment in Wales\u2019s first north\u2013south Metro, describing the elderly Austin as \u201ca significant step forward in connecting our communities\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The service will leave Caernarfon on the first of each month, calling at Bala, Wrecsam, Caersws, Aberystwyth and Llandeilo before arriving in Newport sometime later in the year.<\/p>\n<p>Transport spokesperson Dai Araf said, \u201cThis is a fully integrated transport system. Passengers will travel by car, continue on foot when it overheats, and complete their journey in an AA recovery vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Capacity will initially be limited to three passengers, increasing to four once the driver removes his tools from the back seat.
